Consultation History
In the 1980’s the Indonesian Government sought to promote incoming foreign Investment under its PMA investment system.
One of the initiatives was a private company PT. Tourdevco – Tourism Development Corporation. The Board, Comprised of active Government Ministers and some of Indonesia’s more successful business men sought to encourage foreign capital joint ventures. Richard Flax was invited to become Corporate Secretary for the company, a position he held for five years. In this capacity he introduced many joint venture companies including , The Benoa Harbor Marina , PT. Cable Water Skiing , PT, Indonesia Adventure Sports, PT Wakalouka Catamaran, Bali’s first marine charter operation and Hotel and Villa developments amongst others.
He was also tasked to investigate several other potential projects including Hovercraft and other means of transport to assist in opening up the Archipelago .
